Job Summary
Direct nursing care in an oncology unit under supervision, including assessment of patient condition, administering prescribed medications, documentation, and coordination of care with the healthcare team. Responsibilities include educating patients, families, and caregivers about the medical condition, treatment plan, medications, and follow-up measures, ensuring understanding and safety. Supports high-quality patient care through prompt response to requests, proactive patient advocacy, and collaboration with the management team to improve outcomes.
Required Qualifications
- RN licensed in state of Texas/Compact state
- BCLS
- Fundamentals of Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Administration Course (Complete within 6 months from hire)
- ADN or BSN
