Job Summary
Provide direct nursing care and coordinate with the healthcare team on assigned shifts; assess and respond to patient status, administer prescribed medications including chemotherapy/immunotherapy, monitor therapeutic responses, and ensure timely documentation in the medical record. Educate patients, families, and caregivers about the condition, treatment plan, medications, side effects, and follow-up measures; translate complex medical terminology to ensure understanding. Collaborate with management and interdisciplinary teams to maintain high-quality patient care and participate in ongoing quality initiatives. Requires RN licensed in Texas/Compact state with ADN or BSN, BCLS, and completion of Fundamentals of Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Administration within 6 months of hire.
Required Qualifications
- RN licensed in state of Texas/Compact state
- BCLS
- Fundamentals of Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Administration Course (Complete within 6 months from hire)
- ADN or BSN
