Job Summary

Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care for medical oncology patients using the nursing process and evidence-based practice. Direct the interdisciplinary team through delegation and coordination while managing time, supplies, and resources to deliver individualized care plans. Collaborate with physicians, families, and support staff to address physical, social, and psychological needs, ensuring accurate documentation and compliance with legal and ethical standards. Requires current RN licensure, BLS certification, and a BSN degree, with a focus on critical thinking, communication, and patient safety in a busy hospital environment.

Required Qualifications

  • Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in state of practice
  • Valid compact licenses must be transferred to the state of practice within 60 days of the start of employment
  • Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN). Education must be obtained from an accredited institution
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is required as of the job description's last update on 4/27/2025
  • RNs with less than 12 months of experience must obtain their Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) within four (4) years of their hire date
