Job Summary
Coordinate, implement, and plan nursing care in a timely and accurate manner. Perform comprehensive assessments on all patients upon admission, identify problems and needs, and develop individualized care plans with specific interventions and outcomes. Administer medications and solutions safely, handle treatments and procedures, and document accurately and timely. Reassess patient conditions, evaluate responses, and modify care plans as needed. Accept charge responsibilities, assign staff based on acuity, and facilitate staff development while maintaining a therapeutic environment. Maintain work areas and personal appearance reflecting professionalism, cleanliness, and safety.
Required Qualifications
- Earned a nursing diploma or degree from a college or university
- Licensed in the State of Tennessee
- BLS within 90 days of hire
- Able to communicate in English verbally and legibly
- Able to stand/work for up to twelve hours a day
- Able to lift with assistance up to 250 lbs
Desired Qualifications
- At least one year of emergency experience preferred
- TNCC Preferred
- At least one year of pediatric in-hospital experience preferred
- At least one year of pediatric emergency experience preferred
