Registered Nurse - Medical/Oncology - Full Time Shifts Vary

Job Summary
Coordinate, implement, and plan nursing care in a timely and accurate manner by performing comprehensive assessments on all patients, identifying problems, and developing individualized care plans. Administer medications and treatments safely using the Omnicell Medication System and standard patient care equipment while documenting accurately and timely. Reassess patient conditions, evaluate responses, and modify care plans as needed. Accept charge responsibilities, assign staff based on acuity, and facilitate staff development. Maintain a healing environment and adhere to hospital policies across adult medical-surgical, pediatric, critical care, oncology, and emergency units. Requires prolonged standing for up to twelve hours daily.
Required Qualifications
- Earned a nursing diploma or degree from a college or university
- Licensed in the State of Tennessee
- BLS within 90 days of hire
- Able to communicate in English verbally and legibly
- Able to stand/work for up to twelve hours a day
- Able to lift with assistance up to 250 lbs
- Basic arrhythmia within 6 months of hire
- ACLS within 6 months of hire
- Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) certification within 6 months of hire
- AACN, CCRN or CCP certification within two years of hire
- ONS chemo/immunotherapy certification within one year of hire
- PALS within 6 months of hire
- ENPC or TNCC within 6 months of hire
Desired Qualifications
- At least one year of emergency experience preferred
- TNCC Preferred
- At least one year of pediatric in-hospital experience preferred
- At least one year of pediatric emergency experience preferred
