Job Summary
Coordinate, implement, and plan nursing care for adult medical-surgical, pediatric, critical care, oncology, and emergency units. Perform comprehensive assessments, plan individual care, and document accurately and timely. Administer medications and treatments safely while maintaining a therapeutic environment for patients and families. Accept charge responsibilities, assign staff based on acuity, and facilitate staff development. Maintain work areas reflecting professionalism and safety standards. Requires up to twelve hours of daily standing and lifting assistance up to 250 lbs.
Required Qualifications
- Earned a nursing diploma or degree from a college or university
- Licensed in the State of Tennessee
- BLS within 90 days of hire
- Able to communicate in English verbally and legibly
- Able to stand/work for up to twelve hours a day
- Able to lift with assistance up to 250 lbs
Desired Qualifications
- Basic arrhythmia within 6 months of hire
- ACLS within 6 months of hire
- Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) certification within 6 months of hire
- AACN, CCRN or CCP certification within two years of hire
- ONS chemo/immunotherapy certification within one year of hire
- At least one year of emergency experience preferred
- TNCC Preferred
- PALS within 6 months of hire
- ENPC or TNCC within 6 months of hire
- At least one year of pediatric in-hospital experience preferred
- At least one year of pediatric emergency experience preferred
