Job Summary
Registered Nurse on a 26-bed inpatient Oncology unit (CDH Medical Oncology, 4A) at Northwestern Medicine. Full-time days (7am–7:30pm) with rotating weekends. Responsibilities include delivering patient-centered nursing care, collecting and analyzing data, developing and implementing individualized care plans, directing care with collaborators, and evaluating outcomes. Provides inpatient chemotherapy, symptom management, palliative and end-of-life/hospice care, and collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality care. Requires BSN with IL RN licensure and BLS; ADN accepted with commitment to obtain a BSN within three years. Oncology experience is highly preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Current State of Illinois Registered Professional Nurse
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Associate Degree Nursing (ADN) acceptable with commitment to obtain a BSN from an accredited program within three years of first day of employment in clinical nurse role.
