Job Summary
Registered Nurse position in Mercy's medical unit with night and weekend shifts. Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care; maintains professional accountability for patient care; evaluates overall effectiveness of care provided by direct caregivers; coordinates patient care with other departments; maintains patient rights and confidentiality; aligns duties with Mercy Service Standards and organizational mission. Requires nursing degree (Associate's/Diploma/BSN) and active RN license in hiring state or compact licensure; certifications such as BLS (and unit-specific requirements like ACLS/NRP/ENPC/TNCC/CPHON/OCN/PALS/PEARS/C-EFM as applicable); physical ability to perform essential tasks (lifting, standing, mobility). Required Qualifications
- Education: Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN)
- Licensure: Current RN license in the hiring state and/or compact licensure; meet state board requirements
- Certifications: BLS (required), ACLS, NRP, ENPC, TNCC, CPHON, OCN, PALS, PEARS, S.T.A.B.L.E., C-EFM as required by unit
- Experience: Not specified beyond standard RN duties
