Job Summary
The Registered Nurse - Medical Innovation Unit is responsible for performing nursing duties including assessment, diagnosis, care planning, implementation, documentation, and communication in a team setting. The RN I will care for assigned patient populations, ensuring quality patient outcomes and satisfaction while participating in professional development activities. Candidates must possess an RN License, meet educational requirements, and complete mandatory competencies as required. The role requires skills in nursing processes and the ability to provide comprehensive patient care.
Required Qualifications
- RN License required
- Competent in providing care based on the cognitive, physical, emotional and chronological stages of human growth and development
- Competent to provide care to patients utilizing the nursing process
- Must have a reliable means of phone communication with hospital
- Eligibility to Test Letter from the Virginia Board of Nursing if a Virginia resident or Non-Compact state resident
Desired Qualifications
- Relevant Specialty Certification preferred
- BLS Certification (Basic Life Support) - American Heart ‘Healthcare Provider’ (HCP) - AHA approved required
- New hires must have American Heart Association (AHA) appropriate certification prior to completion of orientation
Additional Requirements
- If residing in a Compact state other than Virginia, must first secure home state’s Compact license with multi-state privileges to commence RN employment
