REGISTERED NURSE-Medical ICU RN

Registered Nurse (RN) in Medical ICU at Bridgeport Hospital, part of the Yale New Haven Health System (YNHHS), delivering patient-centered critical care with adherence to ANA standards and YNHHS professional practice model. The RN provides comprehensive nursing care within the ICU framework, communicates and collaborates with the health care team and patient/family, conducts holistic data collection, and evaluates outcomes. Responsibilities emphasize professional governance, ethics, culturally congruent practice, leadership, education, evidence-based practice, quality improvement, and safe, fiscally responsible patient care. Requires graduation from an accredited nursing program, active CT RN licensure, current BCLS, and at least one year of acute care RN experience, with clinical specialty certification highly encouraged.
