Job Summary
Registered Nurse position in North Carolina for Full-Time Day shift (7a-7p). Provides professional nursing care, makes nursing care decisions using the nursing process, and collaborates with health care professionals to meet patient needs. Must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program with an active NC RN license or licensure via Nursing Compact State and hold BCLS certification (AHA preferred; non-AHA requires AHA within 3 months). Various units require additional certifications within specified timeframes (e.g., ACLS, PALS, NRP, STABLE, chemotherapy/immunotherapy certification, and unit-specific credentials). Some units specify six months of cardiac monitoring experience; prior experience in requested areas is preferred. BSN is listed as preferred in the optional qualifications. Work responsibilities include adhering to CVMC policies and nursing bylaws and practicing within the North Carolina Nurse Practice Act. Hints note a 7AM-7PM shift.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of accredited nursing program
- Current NC RN license or licensure from Nursing Compact State
- BCLS certification (AHA preferred; if not, AHA within 3 months)
- ACLS/NRP/ALCS/PALS requirements by unit as specified
- Specialty certifications per practice area (e.g., Chemotherapy/Immunotherapy, NRP, STABLE, etc.)
- Ability to assume call responsibilities within 3 months
- Work experience in requested practice areas (Heart and Vascular, Critical Care, PACU, Oncology, etc.)
