Registered Nurse - Medical Floor - Days/Nights

Job Summary
Deliver compassionate, holistic, family-centered nursing care by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient treatment plans based on nursing standards. Perform accurate patient assessments, maintain timely documentation, and support smooth patient transitions through effective hand-offs while collaborating with physicians, charge nurses, and interdisciplinary teams. Work alongside experienced leadership including the Director or designee to ensure safe, effective, and compassionate treatment in a collaborative clinical environment. Available for 12-hour day or night shifts in Helena, Montana.
Required Qualifications
- Relevant experience demonstrating the ability to perform successfully as a staff RN
- Graduate of an accredited professional school of nursing
- Current Montana RN license
- BLS certification

- Medical-Surgical or Geriatric Nursing certification
- Strong cognitive, clinical judgment, organizational, decision-making and emotional skills to manage multiple tasks, stress, and challenging situations
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills for empathetic, patient-centered care and customer service

- Commitment to patient advocacy and achieving positive patient outcomes

- Adaptability to feedback, changing schedules, equipment, and department needs
- Participation in continuing education related to orthopedic and spine care
- Musculoskeletal system anatomy and physiology knowledge
- ERAS knowledge
- Pain management strategies knowledge
- Mobility and safety knowledge
- Prevention of complications such as deep vein thrombosis (DVT), infection, and pressure injuries knowledge
- Glucose management knowledge
- Compartment syndrome knowledge
