Registered Nurse - Medical Behavioral Health - FTN

Job Summary

Conduct inpatient care for children and teens with complex behavioral and medical needs, including traumatic brain injuries, substance use disorders, and autoimmune conditions. Manage patients requiring ongoing treatments such as IV medications, G-tubes, wound care, and cyclic vomiting while delivering holistic, integrated psychiatric treatment. Collaborate on structured programs involving creative therapies, social work, and virtual activities for non-bedbound patients. Support the launch of Riley Hospital's new 11-bed Pediatric Behavioral Health Unit debuting in summer 2026.

Required Qualifications

  • at least 1 year of experience
  • Experienced RNs with inpatient med surg and/or psychiatric backgrounds
  • Requires an Associates of Nursing (ASN); Bachelors of Nursing (BSN) preferred
  • Requires an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license
  • Requires that the RN has graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program
  • Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA
