Job Summary
Utilize the nursing process to provide patient care under the supervision of a licensed provider or Registered Professional Nurse while maintaining professional accountability for assigned patients. Coordinate patient care with other departments and uphold patient rights and confidentiality. Obtain and maintain a current LPN license within the hiring state, meeting all State Board of Nursing requirements. Complete required certifications such as ACLS/ALS, PALS, or BLS within specified timeframes, or acquire LPN-IV certification if applicable. Perform duties requiring the ability to push, pull, and lift 50 lbs regularly, with prolonged standing, walking, and physical movements including gripping, reaching, and squatting. Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program
- Current LPN license within the hiring state
- Meeting all State Board of Nursing requirements
- Ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis
- Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties
Desired Qualifications
- ACLS/ALS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
- PEARS (Pediatric Assessment Recognition and Stabilization)
- S.T.A.B.L.E. (Sugar, Temperature, Airway, Blood Pressure, Lab Work, And Emotional Support) Six Assessment & Care Modules
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire
- LPN-IV Certification must be previously completed or successful completion of course within 3 months of hire for LPNs in the state of practice
- Other unit-specific certifications as required
