Job Summary
Assess and monitor patient conditions and vital signs, administer prescribed medications and treatments, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop individualized care plans. Educate patients and families on disease processes and self-care techniques while documenting all care progress in electronic medical records. Provide emotional support to patients and their families, ensuring adherence to hospital policies and state regulations. Work nights in a full-time 3x 12-hour shift schedule within the Med/Surg department.
Required Qualifications
- Current and valid RN license in the state of Texas
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in Med/Surg nursing
- BLS certification
- Strong clinical skills and ability to handle complex patient situations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Basic computer skills and experience with electronic medical records
