Registered Nurse Med-Surg Trauma Spine

Registered Nurse Trauma Spine at Mission Hospital delivers high-quality, patient-centered care for trauma spine patients. Responsibilities include assessing patients at admission and during shifts, performing procedures and other ordered nursing actions, administering prescribed medications and monitoring responses, documenting care thoroughly, educating patients and families about conditions, treatment plans, medications, potential side effects, and follow-up measures, and collaborating with medical providers and the care team to ensure optimal outcomes. Practice follows established nursing models (Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage) and emphasizes advocacy, safety, and clear communication to support positive clinical outcomes. Preferred qualifications include a Master’s in Nursing and National Certification in the specialty; required qualifications include BSN (or enrollment with plan to obtain BSN within 5 years), NC RN licensure (eNLC may apply), and BLS confirmation, with at least one year of nursing experience. The role emphasizes hospital-wide standards, patient education, and teamwork to deliver excellent trauma-spine care.
