Registered Nurse Med-Surg Trauma Spine

Provide comprehensive medical-surgical care on the Med-Surg Trauma Spine unit. Responsibilities include thorough patient assessments, developing and implementing individualized care plans, administering medications and treatments safely, monitoring patient responses, managing pre- and post-operative spine/trauma care (including wound care and surgical drains), educating patients and families about diagnoses, procedures, medications, and discharge instructions, documenting accurately in the electronic health record, adhering to infection prevention and patient safety protocols, and participating in quality improvement initiatives. Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, therapists, case managers, and support staff to coordinate care and ensure safe transitions through the continuum of care, while supporting ongoing competency development and a patient-centered environment in Asheville, NC.
