Job Summary
Assess, recognize, and address the psychological and physical needs of adult patients with respiratory, cardiac, and sepsis diagnoses on a 26-bed medical floor. Foster quality of care by developing individualized treatment plans, overseeing LPN/CNA care, and participating in clinical team conferences. Comply with hospital guidelines while documenting patient care, interpreting monitor alarms, and transferring patients. Work full-time night shifts with a weekly schedule of 36 hours.
Required Qualifications
- BSN Degree from an accredited program within 4 years unless 15 years of acute care service
- Current State of Montana Registered Nurse License
- BLS Certification upon hire
- Ability to work as part of an interdisciplinary team to achieve patient-focused outcomes
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to read, analyze, interpret periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or government regulations
- Ability to write reports
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
- Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, or regulatory agencies
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form
- Regular attendance to perform work on site during regularly scheduled business hours or scheduled shifts
