Job Summary
Assess, recognize, and address the psychological and physical needs of adult patients with respiratory, cardiac, and sepsis diagnoses on a 26-bed medical floor. Foster quality care by assisting in individualized treatment plans, overseeing LPN/CNA care, and participating in clinical team conferences. Communicate compassionately with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team while complying with hospital policies and documentation guidelines. Perform duties during night shifts, including operating monitors, transferring patients, and managing medication preparation.
Required Qualifications
- BSN Degree from an accredited program within 4 years unless 15 years of acute care service
- Current State of Montana Registered Nurse License
- BLS Certification upon hire
- Ability to work as part of an interdisciplinary team to achieve patient-focused outcomes
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to read, analyze, interpret periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or government regulations
- Ability to write reports
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
- Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, or regulatory agencies
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form
- Regular attendance to perform work on site during regularly scheduled business hours or scheduled shifts
