Job Summary
Provide professional nursing care at the beginner practitioner level in accordance with patient and family-centered care principles. Act as the primary nurse for patients on the 3 EAST observation unit, coordinating care planning with other disciplines. Manage care for patients with Congestive Heart Failure, Stroke, TIA, COPD, and Chest pain, utilizing required telemetry proficiency. Staff are trained to care for both inpatient and outpatient populations, including surgical and orthopedic patients. During surge capacity, these beds may be utilized for inpatient admission. Work 24 hours per week from 7pm to 7:30am, with every other or third weekend and every other holiday rotation based on preference. Night and weekend differential pay is eligible.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Nurse
- Med/Surg/Tele/Observation (3E)
- Proficiency in Telemetry
- Care for both inpatient and outpatient on the medical unit
- Act as primary nurse for patients on the unit
- Coordinate care planning with other disciplines
- Every Other or 3rd Weekend Required
- Every Other Holiday Required
