Job Summary
Provide direct and indirect patient care using the nursing process for assigned patients in Med Surg. Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to deliver age-appropriate care while supervising other assigned staff. Ensure complete, accurate, and timely written communication of patient information and maintain a safe, therapeutic environment. Administer medications and IVs safely, educate patients and families, and utilize the nursing process to ensure quality care throughout the episode. Requires Texas RN license, BSN preferred, and minimum 12 months RN experience.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing
- Current license to practice professional nursing in the state of Texas
- Current Basic Life Support Certification
- Minimum 12 months RN experience or completion of Nurse Residency Program
- Knowledgeable about hospital policies, procedures, and nursing care standards
