Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate an individualized plan of care for patients recovering from cardiac catheterization, stroke, COPD, kidney disease, and other acute medical diagnoses. Collaborate with physicians and a multidisciplinary team to promote optimal health or support a peaceful death while establishing authentic personalized relationships with patients and their support systems. Utilize best scientific evidence and compassion to assist patients in navigating their health journey, accepting full responsibility and accountability for care management in accordance with current policies and procedures. This 40-bed unit serves a diverse population in a fast-paced environment, requiring one year of acute nursing experience and current RN licensure.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Current RN licensure in appropriate state
- Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Red Cross or American Heart Association
- One year of acute nursing experience
- Successful completion of a Board approved refresher course (if RN license inactive, retired or lapsed for five years or more with no other state licensure in the last five years)
- Application for reinstatement within one year of completing the refresher course (if applicable)
