Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for patients with complex medical needs including strokes, head injuries, spinal cord injuries, and post-operative spine surgeries. Direct the interdisciplinary care team through delegation and coordination while managing time, supplies, and resources to deliver patient-centered care in a fast-paced clinical setting. Collaborate with physicians, family, and support staff to develop individualized plans of care and ensure accurate, timely documentation. Maintain accountability for legal and ethical standards within the scope of licensure. This role supports the Neuro Trauma Med-Surg unit at St. Mary's Regional Hospital, a Comprehensive Stroke Center serving western Colorado and eastern Utah.
Required Qualifications
- Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in state of practice
- Valid compact licenses must be transferred to the state of practice within 60 days of the start of employment
- Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN). Education must be obtained from an accredited institution. Degree will be verified
Desired Qualifications
- RNs with less than 12 months of experience must obtain their Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) within four (4) years of their hire date
