Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for patients with complex medical needs including strokes, head injuries, spinal cord injuries, and post-operative spine surgeries on a 32-bed Neuro Trauma Med-Surg unit. Coordinate interdisciplinary care delivery, manage patient education, and document clinical outcomes while collaborating with physicians, family members, and support staff. Utilize the nursing process, evidence-based practice, and therapeutic interventions to address diverse conditions such as altered mental status and dementia. Maintain accurate, timely documentation and adhere to legal and ethical standards within a fast-paced clinical environment.
Required Qualifications
- Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in state of practice
- Valid compact licenses must be transferred to the state of practice within 60 days of the start of employment
- Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN)
- Education must be obtained from an accredited institution
- Degree will be verified
