Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for patients on the Neuro Trauma Med-Surg unit, utilizing the nursing process, evidence-based practice, and interdisciplinary collaboration. Manage care for diverse conditions including strokes, head injuries, spinal cord injuries, and post-operative spine surgeries within a 32-bed unit featuring 12 ICU step-down beds. Provide direct patient care, coordinate resources, and document accurately while maintaining legal and ethical standards in a fast-paced clinical setting. This role supports the facility's status as a Comprehensive Stroke Center serving western Colorado and eastern Utah.
Required Qualifications
- Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in state of practice
- Valid compact licenses must be transferred to the state of practice within 60 days of the start of employment
- Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN). Education must be obtained from an accredited institution. Degree will be verified
Desired Qualifications
- RNs with less than 12 months of experience must obtain their Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) within four (4) years of their hire date
