Job Summary
Render highly professional and technical nursing care to assigned patients using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Direct and supervise other assigned team members while collaborating with multidisciplinary staff to provide age-appropriate care in accordance with unit standards. Provide safe, accurate, and timely medication and IV administration, ensuring complete and accurate written communication of patient information. Create and maintain a safe, therapeutic environment for patients, family, and coworkers through clear communication and open accountability. Take personal responsibility for performance and professional growth within a 36-hour work week at Methodist Dallas Medical Center, a Magnet-designated hospital featuring a Level I Trauma Center and Comprehensive Stroke Center.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing
- Current license to practice professional nursing in the state of Texas
- Current Basic Life Support Certification
- Minimum 12 months RN experience or completion of Nurse Residency Program
- Knowledgeable about hospital policies, procedures, and nursing care standards
