Registered Nurse Med-Surg Neuro

Registered Nurse on the Med-Surg Neuro unit providing patient-centered care for adults with medical-surgical and neurological conditions (e.g., stroke, seizure disorders, post-operative neurosurgical patients). Duties include comprehensive assessments, evidence-based care plans, medication administration, monitoring responses, and effective communication with physicians, therapists, patients, and families. Responsible for prioritizing care in a fast-paced acute setting, accurate EHR documentation, infection prevention, discharge planning, and patient education to support continuity of care and optimal outcomes. Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team; participate in bedside shift reports; contribute to quality-improvement initiatives focused on patient safety and clinical outcomes. On-site full-time position with 12-hour shifts (nights, weekends, holidays as needed) at Mission Health in Asheville, NC. Requirements: current RN license and BLS certification; ACLS and other specialty certifications strongly preferred or to be obtained within a designated period after hire.
