Job Summary
Utilize the nursing process to provide patient care and maintain professional accountability for assigned patients. Evaluate the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers and coordinate patient care in conjunction with other departments. Maintain patient rights and confidentiality of patient information while performing duties consistent with Mercy Service Standards. This Med Surg role requires a current RN license, BLS certification, and potential ACLS or NRP training. New grads receive a $15,000 sign-on bonus; experienced RNs with 1+ years earn $20,000. Required Qualifications
- Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN)
- Current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure meeting all state board of nursing requirements
- Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire
- Ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs on a regular basis
- Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties
- Ability to stand and walk during each shift

- C-EFM (Fetal Monitor Certification)
- Other unit-specific certifications as required
