Job Summary
Provide comprehensive nursing care for Med Surg patients during night shifts. Conduct comprehensive assessments across physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors; develop and implement individualized care plans; administer medications and treatments per physician orders and hospital protocols; educate patients and families on conditions, treatments, and self-care; collaborate with medical staff to coordinate care; document patient information accurately in the medical record; evaluate and adjust care plans for outcomes; ensure infection control and safety compliance; provide emotional support and therapeutic communication; supervise and delegate tasks to the healthcare team; participate in ongoing professional development and performance improvement activities; respond promptly to code situations and stabilize patients. Required knowledge includes nursing care methods, teamwork, effective communication, EKG/ABCP requirements, and English fluency. Education includes an Associate's Degree in Nursing (Bachelor's preferred); 1+ year of acute care experience is preferred. Licenses and certifications include RN, BLS/CPR, and several preferred advanced certifications depending on unit. Pay range is $31.53 - $52.24 hourly.
