Job Summary
RN on Med Surg 3 West unit, full-time nights (7pm–7am), assesses patients, plans, implements and evaluates nursing care, collaborates with an interdisciplinary team, delegates and supervises non-professional staff, coordinates care transitions, and provides patient and family education. Responsibilities include applying standards of practice, maintaining documentation per RHS standards and regulatory requirements, ensuring quality outcomes, and adapting education to patient/family needs while addressing diverse populations. Role participates in care coordination and supports comprehensive services aligned with Riverside Health System goals.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Bachelors Degree, Nursing (Preferred) or Associates Degree, Nursing (Preferred) or Nursing Diploma (minimum education) and HS Diploma/GED as applicable
- Licenses and Certifications: Registered Nurse (RN) - Virginia Department of Health Professions or licensed in a compact state; CPR/BLS
- Experience: 2 years preferred for bonus; new grads eligible for bonus
