Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the physical, social, and psychological status of patients using the nursing process and evidence-based practice. Direct the interdisciplinary care team through delegation, coordination, and collaboration while setting priorities for patient care delivery. Collaboratively develop individualized care plans with patients, families, and physicians, ensuring accurate and timely documentation of all interventions. Promote the nursing profession by integrating legal and ethical standards into practice and maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements. Perform patient transfers, ambulation, and supply distribution while navigating crowded clinical environments. Requires a current state license, BLS certification, and a BSN degree; offers a weekly schedule of 36 hours at an hourly rate between $37.45 and $57.29.
Required Qualifications
- Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in state of practice
- Valid compact licenses must be transferred to the state of practice within 60 days of the start of employment
- Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN). Education must be obtained from an accredited institution
- Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy
- Expected to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients
- Will also bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and equipment
- Typically includes items of varying weights, up to and including heavy items
- Need to walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients
- Obtaining and distributing supplies and equipment
- Pushing/pulling gurneys and portable equipment
- Including heavy items
- Often required to navigate crowded and busy rooms
- Full of equipment, power cords on the floor, etc
- May be expected to stand in a stationary position for an extended period of time
