Job Summary
Registered Nurse (MED/SURG) in Athens, GA for a per-diem hospital assignment. Provide comprehensive adult/adolescent care, administer medications and blood products, perform frequent patient assessments, collaborate with healthcare team for discharge planning, educate patients and families on diagnoses and post-discharge care, monitor for post-operative complications, assist with ADLs, maintain EMR documentation, and uphold infection control and safety protocols. Requires RN license (GA), BLS, and 1+ year of relevant experience. Hourly rate $43.28 with shifts 6:45 am–7:15 pm EST.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Completion of an accredited Registered Nurse (RN) program (Associate's or Bachelor's degree).
- Licensure: Active GA state RN license and current BLS Certification.
- Experience: At least one year of relevant experience.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in IV therapy, wound care, medication administration (including P.O., IV, IM, and SQ routes), use of infusion pumps, and electronic medical records (EMR).
- Soft Skills: Critical thinking, time management, verbal and written communication, empathetic and patient-focused demeanor.
