Job Summary
Provide direction to clinical personnel and deliver high-quality skilled nursing services to hospitalized patients to achieve optimum health and functional status. Collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals to prepare patients and families for discharge to home or other care settings. Maintain current Texas licensure, American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification, and ACLS certification within the first year. Requires interpersonal and critical thinking skills, excellent communication and teamwork abilities, plus basic clinical and computer proficiency. Full-time day shift at OakBend Medical Center, an independent hospital offering a No Wait ER, advanced trauma center, and stroke program since 1950.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Previous clinical nursing experience
- Current licensure in Texas as a registered Nurse
- Certified through the American Heart Association Basic Life Support
- Interpersonal and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Team work skills
- Basic clinical skills
- Basic computer skills
- Basic typing skills
Desired Qualifications
