Job Summary
Provide coordinated, excellent care to Observation, Inpatient, and Swing patients on a 25-bed unit with a 5:1 patient-to-nurse ratio. Collaborate closely with the Therapy department to facilitate the highest level of return to pre-hospitalization lifestyle. Maintain a current RN license and obtain ACLS and BLS certifications during orientation. Perform duties requiring prolonged standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 pounds regularly. Work full-time days shifts from 7am to 7pm with rotating weekends and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program
- Current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure
- Meeting all state board of nursing requirements
- Ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis
- Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat
- Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods
- ACLS certification
- BLS certification or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire
- Acquisition of other unit specific certifications as required or within the department required timeframe
- Availability for rotating weekends and holidays
- Full-time employment commitment (36 hours per week)
