Job Summary
Provide coordinated care to Observation, Inpatient, and Swing patients on a 5:1 patient-to-nurse ratio within a 25-bed Critical Access Hospital. Manage daily duties involving prolonged standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 pounds while collaborating closely with the Therapy department to facilitate patient return to pre-hospitalization lifestyles. Maintain current RN licensure and complete required certifications including ACLS and BLS during orientation. Work full-time days shifts from 7am to 7pm with rotating weekends and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program
- Current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure
- Meeting all state board of nursing requirements
- Ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis
- Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire
- Other unit specific certifications as required or acquisition of certification within department required timeframe
- Availability for rotating weekends and holidays
- Full-time employment status
- 36 hours per week availability
