Provides professional nurse care on the Mother Baby Unit for postpartum patients and newborns; coordinates care with interdisciplinary team; performs assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care; directs and collaborates with patient care team to support education and discharge planning; lactation consults available; PRN as-needed and 0 scheduled hours; emphasis on family-centered, team-oriented care and ensuring compliance with licensure and nursing standards.
Required Qualifications
- Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in state of practice
- Valid compact licenses must be transferred to the state of practice within 60 days of the start of employment
- RNs must have their BSN or willing to obtain within four (4) years of their hire date
- Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred/required as of update on 4/27/2025
