Job Summary
Provide comprehensive campus health services to students, including emergency care, medication administration, health education, screening (vision/hearing), coordination of health services and referrals, development and evaluation of campus health programs, collaboration with school staff and parents, and adherence to district policies and health regulations. Maintain CPR/vision/hearing screening certifications, supervise nurse aides, maintain accurate health records, and participate in health education curriculum and IEP-related health items. Maintain confidentiality and professional standards while supporting student health, safety, and well-being.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited professional nursing education program
- Valid registered nurse license to practice professional nursing in Texas from the State Board of Nurse Examiners
- Certified by Texas Department of Health to conduct vision and hearing screening
- CPR Certification
- Two years nursing experience, preferably in community health
