Registered Nurse Manager (RN) | Med Surg

Manage day-to-day operations of the med-surg patient care area by directing staff, developing orientation and continuing education programs, and maintaining standards of care. Control position staffing mix and scheduling to maximize unit efficiency while collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary professionals to achieve optimal patient outcomes. Prepare the unit's annual budget, develop clinical policies and protocols, and handle patient relations including complaint resolution and risk management referrals. Interview, hire, train, and retain employees while appraising performance and addressing problems. Maintain current knowledge of clinical concepts, evidence-based practices, reimbursement issues, and applicable regulations.
