Job Summary
Lead and manage the Emergency Department unit for Prisma Health, directing staffing, budgets, and human resources to ensure high-quality patient care. Oversee unit goals, performance improvement initiatives, and budgeting (annual capital, operational, and personnel) with collaboration from the Director of Nursing and Unit Medical Director. Develop staffing plans, supervise staff, coach and evaluate performance, and ensure education and research activities are supported. Must ensure age-appropriate care and maintain compliance with standards; position includes supervision of 50+ employees and day shift responsibilities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing
- Current RN license (nursing, RN) recognized by the NCSBN Compact or licensed to practice in the state
- Three (3) years RN experience including two (2) years in the appropriate area of nursing
- Nursing management/supervisory experience preferred
- In lieu of BSN, nursing diploma or ADN may be considered if willing to enroll in BSN/MSN within specified timeline
