Job Summary
Conduct holistic assessments of patients' physical, psychosocial, and spiritual needs, utilizing The Christ Hospital Professional Practice Model to establish individualized care plans with measurable goals. Implement evidence-based nursing interventions, delegate tasks appropriately, and provide ongoing education to patients and families while maintaining safety through proactive risk identification and emergency response. Document all care activities accurately in the electronic medical record and participate in shift reports, care conferences, and unit-based performance improvement initiatives. Adhere to Ohio Nurse Practice Act standards, complete required BLS and ACLS certifications, and engage in continuous professional development through staff meetings and peer mentoring.
Required Qualifications
- BSN within 5 years of the date of hire
- Current licensure to practice nursing in Ohio
- BLS certification prior to patient contact
- ACLS certification within 6 months of hire in step-down and ICU areas
- Certification in area of clinical specialty within five years of eligibility
- 75% participation in staff meetings
- 75% participation in council meetings
- 100% on-time completion and attendance for annual education day
- Ability to accept and implement change
- Ability to work in a culturally diverse setting
Desired Qualifications
- MSN or DNP
- Membership in professional organizations
- Certification specific to work area of professional practice when eligible
- Participation in the professional advancement program
- Participation in chosen professional organizations and conferences
