Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care for renal units using The Christ Hospital Professional Practice Model. Perform holistic assessments of physical, psychosocial, and spiritual needs while documenting updates in the electronic medical record. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate discharge planning, initiate safety initiatives, and respond to emergency situations with controlled precision. Provide ongoing education to patients and families, delegate nursing actions based on physician orders, and maintain competency through point-of-care testing. Participate in shift reports, council meetings, and performance improvement projects to support unit-based activities and professional growth. Adhere to Ohio Nurse Practice Act standards and complete required BLS and ACLS certifications.
Required Qualifications
- BSN within 5 years of the date of hire
- Current licensure to practice nursing in Ohio
- BLS certification prior to patient contact
- ACLS certification within 6 months of hire in step-down and ICU areas
- Certification in area of clinical specialty within five years of eligibility
- Ability to accept and implement change
- Ability to work in a culturally diverse setting
Desired Qualifications
