Job Summary
Perioperative Registered Nurse provides direct patient care to pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients during the perioperative period, employing specialized knowledge to achieve desired outcomes. Serves as a patient advocate, assesses the surgical environment for safety concerns, and intervenes as needed while collaborating with the surgical team to facilitate procedures. May assume responsibility for orienting new staff, educational programs, and securing/managing supplies and equipment necessary for delivery of care.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of a state approved school of nursing
- IL RN License
- CPR
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- 2 yrs RN experience in perioperative care - Preferred
