Job Summary
Registered Nurse – Operating Room providing comprehensive perioperative care before, during, and after surgery. Responsibilities include preparing the OR and equipment, assisting the surgical team by passing instruments, monitoring vital signs, managing postoperative recovery, maintaining sterile field and infection control, coordinating with surgeons and anesthesiologists, educating patients and families on post-operative care, and ensuring accurate patient records. Requires RN licensure, CPR, and ACLS/PALS within mandated timelines; 12-hour shifts with 80% standing/walking and up to 50 lbs in a surgical environment.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited nursing program
- Active and unencumbered RN license
- CPR certification
- ACLS within 90 days of hire or transfer
- PALS within 90 days of hire or transfer
