Job Summary
Conduct holistic assessments of patients' physical, psychosocial, and spiritual needs while recognizing abnormal data and reporting changes to physicians. Implement evidence-based nursing actions, delegate tasks appropriately, and provide individualized education to patients and families. Evaluate care effectiveness continuously, adjust plans based on patient response, and document all interventions accurately in the electronic medical record. Respond to emergency situations with controlled precision and maintain a safe environment by preventing disease transmission. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams using SBAR handoff processes and participate in unit-based performance improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- BSN within 5 years of the date of hire
- Current licensure to practice nursing in Ohio
- BLS certification prior to patient contact
- ACLS certification within 6 months of hire in step-down and ICU areas
- Certification in area of clinical specialty within five years of eligibility
- Ability to accept and implement change
- Ability to work in a culturally diverse setting
Desired Qualifications

- Certification specific to work area of professional practice when eligible
