Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and execute evidence-based interventions in a 16-bed CVICU managing pre- and post-operative cardiovascular patients, including open heart surgery and ventricular assist devices. Monitor hemodynamic needs, invasive lines, and ultrafiltration machines while collaborating with the clinical team to develop personalized care plans and drive performance improvement initiatives. Accurately document the nursing process in the electronic medical record and mentor peers within a Magnet-designated unit offering flexible self-scheduling.
Required Qualifications
- Current RN licensure in the state of employment
- BLS required before patient contact
- ACLS required within 6 months of hire in step-down and ICU areas
- Unit specific certifications may be required
