Job Summary
Assess patients' physical, emotional, spiritual, and educational needs while collaborating with the healthcare team. Create personalized care plans prioritizing patient goals, then implement evidence-based interventions and educate families. Monitor outcomes to adjust care, ensuring accurate documentation of the nursing process, updates, and responses in the electronic medical record. Drive improvement by evaluating Performance Improvement initiatives and advocating for High Reliability principles to enhance operational efficiency. Mentor peers, delegate tasks, and manage patient care effectively within the 16-bed CVICU, supporting pre- and post-operative cardiovascular procedures, invasive line management, and hemodynamic needs.
Required Qualifications
- Current RN licensure in the state of employment
- BLS required before patient contact
- ACLS required within 6 months of hire in step-down and ICU areas
- Unit specific certifications may be required
