Job Summary
Assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate comprehensive care for patients in the 16-bed Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit, managing invasive lines, hemodynamic needs, and post-operative support for open heart and interventional procedures. Execute evidence-based interventions while documenting the nursing process in the electronic medical record and ensuring timely updates on patient responses. Collaborate with the healthcare team to drive improvement through Performance Improvement initiatives and advocate for High Reliability principles to enhance operational efficiency. Mentor peers, delegate tasks, and support unit-based councils to foster a culture of continuous learning and exceptional outcomes.
Required Qualifications
- Current RN licensure in the state of employment
- BLS required before patient contact
- ACLS required within 6 months of hire in step-down and ICU areas
- Unit specific certifications may be required
