Job Summary
Assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate comprehensive care for cardiovascular patients in a 16-bed CVICU, managing invasive lines, hemodynamic needs, and post-operative support for open heart and valve procedures. Deliver evidence-based interventions while documenting the nursing process in the electronic medical record and adhering to organizational policies. Monitor patient outcomes to adjust care plans and drive improvement through Performance Improvement initiatives, mentoring peers and collaborating with the clinical team.
Required Qualifications
- Current RN licensure in the state of employment
- BLS required before patient contact
- ACLS required within 6 months of hire in step-down and ICU areas
- Unit specific certifications may be required
