Job Summary
Assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate comprehensive care for cardiovascular patients in the CVICU, including open heart surgery, ventricular assist device implantation, and transcatheter aortic valve replacement. Execute evidence-based interventions, manage invasive lines and hemodynamic needs, and document the nursing process in the electronic medical record. Collaborate with the healthcare team to drive improvement through Performance Improvement initiatives and mentor peers. Requires current RN licensure, BLS, and ACLS certification within six months. Full-time night shift with flexible self-scheduling.
Required Qualifications
- Current RN licensure in the state of employment
- BLS required before patient contact
- ACLS required within 6 months of hire in step-down and ICU areas
- Unit specific certifications may be required
