Job Summary
Assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate comprehensive patient care for cardiovascular recovery and intensive care patients, including open heart surgery and ventricular assist device recipients. Monitor hemodynamic needs, manage invasive lines and medications, and adjust interventions based on patient outcomes using evidence-based practices. Document the nursing process accurately in the electronic medical record and collaborate with the clinical team to drive performance improvement initiatives. Adhere to organizational policies while mentoring peers and participating in unit-based councils.
Required Qualifications
- Current RN licensure in the state of employment
- BLS required before patient contact
- ACLS required within 6 months of hire in step-down and ICU areas
- Unit specific certifications may be required
